Lucas Fink has taken out the Florida Skimboarding Pro/Am 2018 at Vilano Beach.
The Florida Skimboarding Pro/Am, organized by Steve Pullara, is the third longest-running professional skimming event in the world.
It is also the only amateur contest on the planet, allowing each rider two chances to advance before being eliminated.
Lucas Fink stormed the show on the pro men's division and closed the gap to rankings leader Blair Conklin. The Brazilian has officially entered the world title race.
"I had the best birthday gift I could ever ask for. I'm beyond stoked on my second United Skim Tour win this year. Hard work pays off," expressed Fink.
"I arrived in Florida focused, determined, and with my goals set, and that was very important for me! I am extremely thankful to all of you who sent good vibes, cheered for me, and sent support messages. Once again, and as always, you were my fuel to chase my dreams and goals."
In the women's division, reigning world champion Sophia Nguyen beat the former two-time world champion Casey Kiernan. With one event to go, the 14-year-old is en route to secure a second world title.
The 2018 United Skim Tour champions will be crowned at the Exile Oktoberfest in Newport Beach, California, between October 29 and 30.
