Reedin Kites: the new kite company by Kevin Langeree and Damien Girardin

Professional kiteboarder Kevin Langeree and experienced kite designer Damien Girardin teamed up to start a new kiteboarding brand - Reedin.

The former world champion and multiple-time King of the Air is getting into the business world with a company that aims to develop the "perfect kite gear."

"I'm going to start my own brand, and I'm going to be doing that with Damien Girardin, the best kite designer in the world," explained Langeree.

"It's a very exciting journey. I've been thinking a lot about it, and I'm definitely a guy that wants to progress every time I do something."

"I'm at a point in my career where I want to challenge myself, not only in the water but also off the water. I want to create the best gear without having any limitations.

"Having Damien as a partner in this next journey is a dream come true. He's super talented, and he knows exactly when I want something in a kite - he can translate that into a kite."

Damien Girardin lives in Hawaii.

Reedin's kite designer passion for product design started from a young age and led him to study mechanical engineering and industrial design at École Centrale de Marseille in France.

"I'm super excited because it's the only designing product that Kevin and I would want to buy or ride ourselves," adds Girardin.

"We share the same vision. It's all about the experience of riding and having as much fun as possible, and to do that, you need the best product possible."

Reedin Kites will be unveiling its product line-up in the upcoming weeks.
